The art of claiming is well practiced within the equine species. There are many hidden rules that every horse knows about and usually follows in order to get what they want. The usual thing is “stallion approaches mare” and then “stallion introduces himself” and even “stallion flatters mare to the very edge of believability”. And then, depending on what alliance the mare is she will either fall in love with him instantly and skip off to bare his spawn…or if she thinks she is the nastiest piece of dirt around she will try and fool the male into thinking she is smarter than him. She will treat him rough and act like she doesn’t need him until he is about to walk away and then she will accept. What a load of B U L L S H I T.
That was a waste of time in S I R E N’s opinion. And she could not be bothered to sit through the whole dramatic episode to get to the same conclusion as announcing yes or no straight away. She did not want to be with someone who could not get to the point. She was not the pathetic “I don’t need a man” type because they were just fooling themselves. And even if she did not need a stallion…she WANTED one.
However she did not take to waltzing around like a model in the claiming grounds being surrounded by desperate damsels in distress. She was a little too energetic for that and preferred to explore the lithosphere that encompassed her. With bold steps the demoness tattooed the flooring with her imprint and let the wind ruffle her ebony mane. The Friesian female was tired after a long journey and hoped to find some shelter before nightfall…she would not be help responsible for what she did to anyone who tried to creep up on her after dark.
Strands of sunbeams flickered apon her obsidian peltage and ran over her body with ease. Sure she was living in the wild, sure she was not the prissiest breed of horse but she still did herself justice in the looks department. However, that was but one of her methods of seduction but frankly right now she could not be bothered. She doubted anyone would turn up, so instead she turned her attention to finding some water in order to quench her thirst. Important matters of claiming would be dealt with later.

In a rush, the cool liquid slid down his parched throat. That was another thing he found so strange. Why on earth should he always be so d**n thirsty?! Lifting his crown, orbs scanned the surrounding area. Nothing. Than auditives caught a familiar sound. One.. two.. three.. four. Someone was walking, and coming closer. Towers flattened against his skull as he waded across the semi-shallow creek to the bank on the other side.
A low snort sounded, if anyone was near enough to hear, allowing himself the satisfaction that he didn't need a suprise anyone. Hind pillar kicked at dirt with an impatience. Why must everything take so long. He had met few, and had been here for quite a spell. Or atleast it seemed that way. Extending his boa towards hell's roof, he snorted against the ground before pulling back his kissers and opening his ivories. The grass was semi-green, his favorite. Some darq brutes thought it made them tougher to eat fully dead and decaying grass, but he found that all to be nonsense. Although he also found green grass disgusting, so who was he to talk.

The dark steryotype was often pushed to the extremes, S I R E N found. The things the equines would do to make themselves seem dangerous and bad. Such as, forcing themselves to live by themselves for years on end despite it being out of a horses nature. It did not make them any tougher than another horse…and if anything they missed out on a lot. Then there were those that was so concerned with making people scared of them, that they achieved nothing in life but that. And so they died alone, with no legacy and no allies. This was even more pointless. It was about doing what you truly wanted and not caring about the consequences. And any one who had to try and act that way…was worse than the lights that stalked the earth and would not be tolerated.
The surdy wench maintained her slow gait as she trecked in search of liquid. Her columns stretched with an unusual elegance as she moved, feeling the winds rub alongside her dark stained barrel. The day had lost the morning youth and now she was more awake and ready for business. To her almost childish excitement she heard the noise of running water and moved swiftly to where her mocha globes pinpointed the creek.
Satelities flickered around on top of her crown as she lowered her nape in order to gorge harshly on the aqua. Greedily she swallowed it and it was then that she became aware of a prescence. Obviously she was not psychic, and although she had not heard the first snort there was a change in the atmosphere. And yet she carried on drinking. She had nothing to fear and right now, she needed to drink.
The brute’s snort confirmed her thoughts and after she had contented herself in the thirst department she drew back to her full height to gaze around for the stallion. She knew it was a stallion, because her paperthins could just about catch his musky aroma left on the zephyrs. However, the chances were that if the bronc had not made himself known to her then he was not interested and therefore did not want to be bothered. Just in case he was a little shy, the witch let her own larynx project a light wail onto the winds to be carried to his lobes. She did not nessisarily need a home if the czar was not picking up doves at the moment, she wouldn’t mind a nice chat. Everyone needs a socialise once in a while. For his sake though, he had better not be a light…

at thee first glance i a m s o m e t h i n gPausing from his ripping of the tiny blades, auds twitched, fighting their way forward as crown lifter. CoCoas spotted a equine not far away. The aroma on the wind told him it was a puppet. With a snort, he straightened his body to its full height after being somewhat crouched down eating grass. A cool whicker escaped from his speakers and his pillars carried him at a slow 4-beat the little distance to the vixen. With a stiff nod of his head, he gave a short greeting
" hello. you must seek the company of others, thus you be here. may i offer mine? "
He was polite, sure. There was no reason not to be. But that icy tone that accompained his deep voice proved he could be none other than a darq. After a few short breathes of the moist, now heating air. His gaze, which had shifted to staring across acres of woodlands, returned to those who he was present with. Secretly looked her over, he noticed she was a handsome filly. Suprised at how she was nearly his height, which had become quite uncommon, he inwardly smiled. Darq and sinister he was, but he had his moments, and quite enjoyed having something in common with another other than just enjoying the pain, mainly, of others.
" hell cursed my by the dubbance of Hitler. "
His voice was a hiss now, but not threatening, just clouded. Auds were once again pinned flat against his skull. This had become quite a regular place for them to be, for that is where they were position most often. He stood in silence for a moment, impatiently snapping his whipcord from east to west. when darkness had first evolved i w a s t h e r e t o s e t t h e r u l e s

The stance of the rowdy wench morphed slowly into a rougher and slightly intimidating posture at the sight of another equine. You could never be too sure what kind of freaks were lurking around. And she really was a little too tired to get into a fight after her jounrney. Orbs shined with an unnatural light as they crawled all over the baron’s flesh. She did not even try to hide the face that she was viewing him. Did she not have the right too? Well she did not really care, the brute should take it as a compliment.
His abrupt speech rumbled within her harks as one of them darted in his direction. The other maintained its post, listening around the rest of the atmosphere for others. Once she had processed both his announcements she let a small smirk run along her kissers as she stared him right in the eyes.
You just have. And as for me? My mother was the one that called me Siren.
She was not one for small talk, and doubted the beast infront of her was either. Well, she liked conversations…especially for stallions. d**n them, her weakness. But she was a little uptight right now…what with being homeless and all. Fear was not a factor, it was just the annoyance of not having anywhere for her that others…such as the lights, could not tred. Her bitter snort was ejected at her own thoughts before she shook her mind back to the matter at hand. Now according to the unwritten rules, it was her turn to ask him a question such as …how are you on this fine day or where do you live then or even a flirtacious comment. And yes she could be flirtacious if she had wanted, but somehow this stallion commanded respect within his piercing watch and it would seem almost insulting to do so. And thus, she spoke.
And your right, I am after company. And the usual stuff. Except I’m not about to bug you or taunt you…know anyone that might be interested?
At this point she was not even directly referring to him at all, but her ambitions were pushing her to get things sorted and start building up power with a harem. First impressions are nearly always correct and this, Hitler, bloke seemed to know his way around.

" oh, i think that shouldn't be too hard to seek out. "
He did his best, putting himself into be quieter than usual, to keep the mockery out of his voice. He wasn't interested in taunting helpless souls anyway. Plus, as he figured it, she was a helpless soul, atleast not completely. Clawing restlessly at the dry earth. Had it not been for the shadows trees cast upon them, he figured it would be quite a warm day. Summer was just around the corner.
" should you wish, i shall take you to my hell to live. "
It was brief, but rather clear. He offered her into his harem. A stag needed a few faes. Plus, he needed recruits. There was trouble stirring, and he would be the head of it all. So far, the lights were vastely outnumbered, and if the plans to ally with the nuetrals came through, it would be in their pocket. Yes, this would be just fine.
OOC; sorry, bad post. getting back my muse (it appearently enjoyed the slopes and decided to extend it's stay)

A warmer touch of wind twisted and circled the pair as they stood, the future just about to begin. Like too vultures they were perched close by in the middle of no where. Well….not exactly no where. It was the beginnings. Everything great starts somewhere, and it was this somewhere that it seemed her future began. Between her, and the gnarled and slightly war torn brute before her
Deep, clouded orbs left his to search the atmosphere around her. The prospect of hell did not scare her not particularly interest her. It would be what it was, and she would except it for that. The problem would not be the place, but what it was filled with.
The dark stained damsel watched him eagerly as he finished speaking and left a dramatic pause before a flirtatious smile leapt onto her features. He was making the right decision, no doubt about that. It did not matter what rank she had in the harem, from the loweleyest outcast to the proudest Queen, she would fight to the death for its protection or any she gave loyalty to. Her expansion ideas would also be given if she was just presented the oppourtunites. Yes, today was an important day…and she was pretty sure the brute did not even realise it yet. Each mare looked rather like the next, and without the capability to mind read you could never tell what really was going on in their minds. But she would show him…and any miserable light that met their end by her hooves.
Then, why waste more time. Hitler…what is the name of the realm that will be feared by all?
